About the Allied Arts Fund
Allied Arts Fund is a united funding agency for the arts in Rapid City and the Black Hills.  The Allied Arts Fund provides operating and promotional support to eleven local arts organizations

We also administer three significant grants and the City of Rapid City arts subsidy funds, which allow us to provide funding to many other grassroots, non-profit arts projects.  Together, our groups represent the eleven most active and established arts organizations in the Black Hills, who with our grant recipients, provide over 1,000 culturally enriching events for our community each year.

The Allied Arts Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Our History
In 1971, five Rapid City-based arts groups created the Allied Arts Fund, with the intent of alleviating the pressure of fundraising for each arts organization, freeing the majority of their time and efforts to produce events and programming, rather than to conduct fundraising efforts.

Fund Distribution
Our funds are distributed among our member organizations according to each group’s annual operating budget (those with higher budgets and more programming receive a greater percentage of the total available dollars.)
