2009 Allied Arts “Heart for the Arts” Award

Allied Arts Fund believes the arts represent the heart and soul of a community and enrich the quality of life for all its citizens. To thank those who make this possible with their creativity, time, talent, and financial support, six years ago we created the “Heart for the Arts” award.  The award is presented to an individual or business for significant contribution to the promotion or improvement of the arts in the Black Hills area.  The contribution may be financial, “hands on” work, or both. 

The award for the 2009 recipient is an original artwork created by local artist, educator, and curator Deborah Mitchell.
